There were not many cafes in Euljiro before, but now new cafes have been formed in their streets. Café 4F is one of the cafes, which feature the tone of Euljiro area. It is a four story building café, like its name. This small building is in the printer’s alley of Bangsan Market.
Cafe 4F is hidden in an alley. It used to be a printing factory. The cafe preserved much of the original features of the printing factory. The printing press which was actually used is on the first floor (ground floor). The old machine welcomes you as you enter the building.
You can order coffee on the second floor. After getting your coffee, you can enjoy it on the first, third and fourth floor. The building has a small rooftop on the fourth floor. It is a nice place to relax and chill out in the busy city center.
Seeing printing press rollers on the wall made me feel like travelling back in time. It was like I was in the same space with a worker in the 1980s, who works in printing industry during rapid industrial development.
I love this unique café. The place is antique and historical. Its special atmosphere is marked off from other common industrial-designed cafes.
