Spring has arrived! Finally!
Cherry Blossom Season
For me, the first sign of spring is buds of cherry trees, which can be seen in the late March. Cherry trees burst with amazing colors of light pink and white in early to mid April. When it is a peak season, the whole country celebrates these beautiful flowers in full bloom. In general, the peak season lasts a week, but sometimes rain or cold weather shortens the blooming period. So, when you have the chance, you must not miss it.
Seokchon Lake
Among many great spots to enjoy flowers, I recommend Seokchon Lake. The lake hosts annual ‘Cherry Blossom Festival’ to admire the beauty of cherry blossoms and it is indeed one of Seoul’s most picturesque spots for cherry blossoms.
There are restaurants and cafes that offer lakeside views. On the east side of the lake you have the view of Lotte World as well.
